Steen’s sugar is harvested when it is at its sweetest state of maturity. The cane is then ground and the juice extracted. The sweet juice is then cooked to perfection in open kettles. When it's just the right clarity and consistency, it becomes Steen's 100% Pure Cane Syrup. C. S. Steen, Sr. began the C S Steen Syrup Mill Inc. tradition in 1910 in an effort to save his frozen crop of sugarcane. Today, five generations later, the Mill still uses the original recipe and steam equipment continues to make pure cane syrup the old fashion way with an open kettle. C.S. Steen's syrup is produced in Abbeville, LA.

| I love this product. I cannot buy it in San Antonio. I put it on biscuits and pancakes. I also use it in my favorite bran muffin recipe. |

| You now have a large number of people in Newport Rhode Island who really like the Syrup. Some of them put the Syrup on their Grits which they also had never had and enjoyed it quite well. |
