Time for Football Parties- Beverages
Posted by NolaCajun on 1/5/2012

It’s playoff time in the NFL.  Hopefully, your team made the big dance and if not…well there’s always next year.  With the parity in the NFL, your team can go from cellar dweller to top of the division in one year… unless you are Carolina and even Andrew Luck won’t right that ship quickly.  So what goes best with an intense playoff matchup?  How about a few beverages!?  Here are a few suggestions:

Beverages

·  Pat O’Brien’s Hurricanes, Strawberry Daiquiris, and Margaritas - You can’t go wrong with any of these cocktail mixes from the famous landmark on Bourbon Street.  All you need is your favorite alcohol and you have cocktails in no time.

·  Tabasco and Pat O’Brien’s Bloody Mary Mix - A perfect way to start off the morning is with a healthy Bloody Mary.  Check out all the great garnishes NolaCajun has to offer:

o   Cajun Chef Spicy Beans

o   Boscoli Pickled Onions

o   Tiffe’s Pickled Okra

o   Joseph’s Pickled Brussel Sprouts Mom always said eat your brussel sprouts. I wish they would have tasted like these.

o   Occhipinti Pickled Egg For the adventurous folks out there, you are eating breakfast…right!

Before you know it, your Bloody Mary will be looking more like a salad then a cocktail.

·  Of course, if soft drinks are more of your taste, then NolaCajun offers 2 brands that you cannot find anywhere else.  If you are from the New Orleans area, then you will know Big Shot Soda and NolaCajun has it in several flavors such as Pineapple, Fruit Punch, Orange, and Strawberry.  Another local beverage is from the Abita Brewery in Abita Springs where a rich and smooth root beer is made.  I don’t even like root beer and I’ll drink this.  Doesn’t have the bite most root beers have such as Barq’s.

Tomorrow we tackle food for your football parties because that is every bit as important as the beverages… at least for most.
