I came to Louisiana for Mardi Gras 2 years ago and bought this Etouffee. I loved it so much and so did my husband. I tried to buy some here in Minnesota and could only find Zatarain's Etouffee. I was so disappointed in the difference between the two products that I ordered 12 packages of the Louisiana Fish Fry Etouffee. I will definitely order more product. Nola Cajun was fast in shipping out the product and I felt the price was fair.

I had been looking for years in stores for this only to find it online. It was great to eat it again. Next time I'll remember to brown the butter as instructed.

In 1982, the Pizzolato family began Louisiana Fish Fry Products and made it their mission to help make Cajun cuisine not only affordable, but easily accessible to everyone. The Louisiana Fish Fry product line has since grown from a single product (original Seasoned Fish Fry) to everything consumers need to make traditional Cajun meals. Today, Louisiana Fish Fry Products is produced in Baton Rouge, LA.
Ingredients: Enriched Bleached Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Salt, Dried Onion, Dehydrated Bell Pepper, Dehydrated Celery, Paprika, Spices. CONTAINS WHEAT
Cooking Instructions: Melt 5 tbsp. butter or margarine in saucepan. Add LA Fish Fry Etouffée Base. Stir over low heat until medium brown. Add 2 cups of water and 1 lb. of peeled crawfish tails or peeled shrimp. Cover and bring to a boil. Stir often. After mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes. Ensure seafood is thoroughly cooked (to 145°F). Serve over rice. Enjoy!
